He completely rejects the 6 day creation account that God had written in Genesis 1 for a reason. Why have Genesis 1 in the bible and speak of days and nights the start with? Why did God have written in exocus that in six days God made the heavens and the earth and rested on the seventh for a model for us? Do we rest for millions of years or just for a day. We know from Romans that death came into the world due to the sult of the sin of Adam. If the earth is millions of years old there would be death before the first sin.
What Phil has done has compromised with the theory of evolution instead of trusting in what God has written in the bible. In the context in in hebrew, the word yum is one 24 hour day. Even a child will tell you a day and a night is a 24 hour day. Would God make creations confusing?
The dvd initially said that God spoke creation into existence and then later Phil said that Genesis is not about how creation came into being. But Genesis does tell us how. He spoke and it was done.
